Gifts for Grandparents

Finding great gifts for the grandparents can be a challenge. How many pairs of slippers does grandma need? Having the kids make a gift with their own little hands can give the grandparents something they may treasure much more than any store purchased items.

Check out these 4 super cute and easy DIY Christmas gifts from my Pinterest page:

1. Handprint Christmas Napkins
How cute are these DIY Handprint Christmas Napkins? Use washable fabric paint and ribbon for the materials. Grandma won’t be able to wait to set these out. You could also use a kitchen towel to hang on the handle of the oven too!

2. Footprint Serving Platter
This DIY footprint Serving Platter is a fun craft that your kids will love to make. Any crafts involving paint and feet are sure to create giggles. All you need is a plate (I got mine from the Dollar Tree), paint and about 30 minutes to cure in the oven.

3. Photo Coasters
My favorite is the DIY Photo Coasters. I like these because they can be used year-round and what grandparent wouldn’t love seeing pics of the kiddos faces more often? And it’s inexpensive. All you need are ceramic tile (found at most craft stores), Modpodge and a square 4×4 photo. Simply apply the mod podge like glue to the coaster, then the photo and another layer of ModPodge. This will be perfect for the older kids to help make!

4. Christmas Tree Canvas Art
Last but not least is this DIY Christmas Tree canvas art. Using washable paint, paint a tree trunk on your canvas, and “stamp” their handprints until you’ve formed a tree. You can draw little ornaments or glue colored pom pom. If you have multiple children use two hands from all of them to make a collective tree. Then put their names on it and the year! You can bet it will be out front and center at the grans’ house every year.

Tiffany Parker

My story is not always what you expect, but I am thankful for this platform to share my thoughts and point others to Him. I am a 30-something wife and mom of a sweet baby girl. I’d definitely say that I am an outgoing introvert (yep that is a thing), who loves having family days and taking my daughter to story time. I also love being frugal and couponing.

I’m just a girl living with grace, love and laughter who decided to follow her heart and to make a difference! If I can encourage just one, I’ll be good with that. :)
